Happy Frenchie Friday
Happy Frenchie Friday! The Frenchies and I are celebrating that the boys will both start school on Monday and it’ll be just us. 🙂 This summer has been a challenge to say the least and I hope our string of losses has come to an end.
I want to use this week as a tribute to my Grandma Pearl who has been my person and my rock since as long as I can first remember.

She was a giver. You may ask what does this have to do with Frenchies. Everything. I was born into the doggie world. My mom and my Grandma both raised different breeds even before I was born. I lived with Grandma and Grandpa for the majority of my early childhood. I think I turned to my Grandma, dogs, and puppies to help overcome what my younger brain could not understand or process. Below is younger Amanda holding a Shar-pei so you can see that I’ve always loved little dogs that sound and look like little piglets. Younger would have loved Frenchies. Oh, and that was my Uncle Fred on the left who passed earlier this summer by taking his own life. Be sure to check-in on your own mental health and those around you. You never know what people are facing.Â

My grandma taught me how to have a hard work ethic. When I was five I started helping with cleaning, feeding, watering, and medicating the dogs. Fifty pound me learned to carry 40lb bags of dog food by placing them on my back. I saw and helped with my first c-section when I was five years old. They hand the puppies off as they are pulled out and you make sure to suction the fluids and make sure they make sure they make their first squeal. She was a great sales women who sold salad master cookware and taught me how to treat customers. Everyone loved my grandma’s kindness and willing to give anything. She was poor but figured out how to create an income that would make her kids lives better. Thank you Grandma for teaching me everything you could about dogs, puppies, and taking care of people. You are the one who made me who I am today.Â
