Frenchie Personality Guide
Every puppy we raise gets a personality type, named after the friends from A.A. Milne’s classic Winnie-the-Pooh stories. It’s a quick, fun way to picture how a puppy acts day to day and what kind of home it will thrive in.
We watch every litter daily from birth: how each pup plays, explores, settles down and responds to people. Then we match each puppy to the type that fits best.
The Personality Types
Pooh Bear (easygoing, cuddly, loves people)
Most of our puppies are Pooh Bears. They’re relaxed, affectionate and happiest snuggled up with their people. Pooh Bears are a wonderful fit for families, first-time owners and anyone who wants a true companion.
- Active Pooh: all the cuddles, with a little extra play energy.
- Gentle Pooh: extra soft, mellow and sweet.
Rabbit (curious, busy, smart, alert)
Rabbits notice everything. They’re bright, engaged and love being part of whatever is going on. Rabbits do great with owners who enjoy training, games and a puppy with a little sparkle.
Tigger (bouncy, high energy, fearless)
Tiggers are rare in our litters. They’re bold, bouncy and always first to play. They’re best for active households that want a fun-loving adventure buddy.
Roo (playful, curious, loves to tag along)
Roos are young at heart. They follow the bigger pups around and always want to be included. They’re a sweet fit for homes with other dogs or with kids who love to play.
Mixes
Some puppies are a blend, like a Pooh/Rabbit mix that loves to play but still wants plenty of snuggles. When a pup is a mix, we’ll say so on their page.
A Starting Point, Not a Promise
A puppy’s personality comes from both genetics and environment, and it keeps developing through adolescence. Our personality type is our honest read of each puppy today. How you socialize, train and bond with your Frenchie will shape who they become.
