Happy Frenchie Friday!

I’ve had my hands full with caring for puppies. When I say I live and breath French Bulldog, it’s absolutely 100% true. Lessie had her 3 pups naturally this week. I had prepared a back-up in case we ran into issues but it was way easier than a c-section and she acted as if nothing even happened. She birthed the pups, took them out of their sacks, and removed the umbilical cord all on her own. All three are platinum females. These girls are likely to be more athletic as Lessie is our most athletic Frenchie with a longer nose and long legs. I know some of you really love these qualities in this line. 🙂

Lessie’s eyes are red in pics when it’s dark because she is lilac with light eyes.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

All of the rest of the Frenchie’s have been working hard as you can see. 🙂

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Even Romeo got himself on the treadmill…no he didn’t actually walk. That would ruin his figure.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Zoe joined her family.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

The pups continue to get snuggles and loves.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Our vet came by to check everyone out and the pups all looked great. Here’s Delight. She was just adopted by a family.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Here’s Caboose. He’s thick like Romeo. I also think Meatball would be an appropriate name for him.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

I absolutely love Coquette how she has a nice stocky Frenchie body, slightly longer nose, and nice open nostrils.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Another sweet pic of Coquette. She is one of our most popular colors. If you think she is the one, make sure to contact me so we can set up a video call for you to meet her.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Bubbles pups are going to be 7 weeks old Sunday. I can’t believe how fast time has gone by. Dr. Leon checked them this week and all are cleared as healthy. He especially loves how the healthiness of their snouts as they are a bit longer and have nice open nostrils. Look at our handsome little Yeti. He looks just like his daddy Nacho.  Sneaks peak pics of them as their individual pages aren’t on the website yet.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

This is Daisy. She and Popcorn are the tiniest of the siblings. She’s so sweet and love to be held in the morning when I walk around the house drinking my coffee because I literally can’t sit still most of the time.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Here’s sweet Marshmallow. She reminds me the most of Bubbles. Look at those nice nostrils.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Here’s princess Popcorn a lilac Fawn Merle. She’s the only one that isn’t platinum in this litter.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Dozer is a cream little guy. It’s different than platinum as he doesn’t carry the lilac genes. HIs eyes are brown instead of light. One of my favorite colors as they always look like puppies even when they’re old.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

We are currently having a sale on fawn colored pups. If it says fawn or sable in the color description you can take $300 off. Here’s a few of our fawn pups.
Nutella has been with us for some time. She’s the most docile, sweet pup and gets along with everyone. Currently she runs with my clan and uses a doggie door to go outside and potty. Her link to her page was broken on the website. That’s why I’m presuming she hasn’t placed yet. In all honesty, it’s been easy to have her around so I haven’t pushed. She’s on the smaller side as well. I don’t think she’ll reach 20lbs.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

This Donut and I really feel like he looks like a donut. This picture shows off his partial blue eye. His ears rosebud a bit. I know some of you will want to know if they’ll stay that way. I don’t know for sure but he’s super cute with his little fly away ears.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Caboose is a little caboose. He’s a lilac fawn meaning he is a champagne color with light eyes. His ears are in training but they will eventually go up. His structure is a lot like Romeo’s which means he has a taller, thicker structure. It’s very athletic and strong.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

If you like the opposite end of the spectrum and want a teeny tiny little girl, Tinker Bell might be your girl. I think she’ll be around 14lbs full grown.

Frenchie Friday May 3rd, 2024

Happy Frenchie Friday!

Happy Frenchie Friday all!
I hope you’ve been enjoying the nice weather with your Frenchies. I stole away for a few days all on my own so I was free of kiddos and Frenchies. I barely knew what to do with myself. Definitely love my life but it was a much needed escape to relax and rest. I went to the Outerbanks  and the entire time I was thinking of how much fun the Frenchie’s would have at the beach. The temperature was nice and I could imagine their little faces looking with curiosity at the waves splashing, sea shells, and sea birds. Of course they’d enjoy watching the sunsets with you cuddled up on your lap.

Next time I’ll have to see about taking one along with me. But until then it’s time to get back to work.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

Bubbles and Nachos pups are growing into their personalities. The boy (Yeti) is definitely a little Nacho. They’ve started canned dog food with probiotics and fish oil added to the mix. Still eating on momma but momma needs a little help.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

Our whole household enjoys popcorn. Look at all of the begging. Lacey’s trying her luck with a big smile.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

I’ve spent a lot of time taking pics of the pups this last week. Some are on the website and some you’ll see a sneak peak here.
Hi! I’m Walker. I’m on the smaller side and love to gnaw on my toys.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

I’m a lilac Fawn Merle pied male. My favorite thing is to be the entertainment.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

I’m Zora! My personality type is a Piglet/Pooh Bear. That means I’m a very gentle girl and am basically like a sweet princess.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

I’m Zac! a Blue and tan little guy. I’m on the smaller side and have a Pooh Bear personality. Check out how handsome I am in my bow tie.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

I’m Argo. I’m quite the dapper little guy. I hear the Kentucky Derby is coming up. I think I’m ready for the party.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

I’m Ace. My brother thinks he’s awfully cute but I think I’m cuter. Hehe!

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

Check out the difference in our markings on our backs. Argo has bigger, darker patches and Ace has smaller, lighter speckles.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

Aiden is our brother. He’s a little shy at first but when he gets used to you he’s quite confident in his space.

Frenchie Friday Apr 26th, 2024

Aldo is the exact opposite. He’s a bunny/tigger personality type. He’s never met a stranger or a place he didn’t want to explore. Our new pics aren’t up yet (as of Friday). Make sure to check them out though. There’s a fun video with all of us playing together. We played live but the recording is just as good.

Unraveling the Enigmatic History of French Bulldogs

Unraveling the Enigmatic History of French Bulldogs

French Bulldogs, with their distinctive bat-like ears and charming personalities, have captured the hearts of dog lovers worldwide. But behind their endearing appearance lies a rich and fascinating history that spans continents and centuries.

Origins

The origins of the French Bulldog can be traced back to the early 19th century in England. These dogs were bred as companions for lace workers in the Nottingham region, where the Industrial Revolution had led to a decline in demand for their craftsmanship. As these artisans migrated to France seeking employment opportunities, they brought their beloved Bulldogs with them.

Influence of Bulldogs and Terriers:

In France, the English Bulldogs were crossed with local breeds, including various Terriers, to create a smaller, more compact dog suitable for city living. This crossbreeding resulted in the emergence of the French Bulldog as we know it today. The breed retained the sturdy build and distinctive facial features of the Bulldog while acquiring the smaller size and playful temperament of the Terrier breeds.

Popularity in France:

By the late 19th century, French Bulldogs had become popular among the working class in France, particularly in Paris. They were favored as companions by shopkeepers, artisans, and even entertainers, earning them the nickname “Bouledogue Français” or “French Bulldog.”

Celebrity Status:

French Bulldogs soon caught the attention of high society, including members of the French aristocracy and celebrities such as the legendary French actress Sarah Bernhardt. Their popularity soared, and they became a symbol of style and elegance, often seen accompanying their fashionable owners to cafes, theaters, and social gatherings.

Crossing the Atlantic:

In the late 19th century, French Bulldogs made their way across the Atlantic to the United States, where they found a welcoming audience. American breeders further refined the breed, emphasizing specific traits such as the distinctive “bat ears” and compact size.

Recognition and Standardization:

In 1898, the French Bulldog was officially recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC), cementing its status as a distinct breed. Over the years, breed standards were developed to preserve the French Bulldog’s unique characteristics, including its square, muscular build, distinctive head shape, and expressive eyes.

Enduring Popularity:

Today, French Bulldogs continue to enchant dog lovers around the world with their playful personalities, affectionate nature, and undeniable charm. They have become one of the most popular breeds globally, cherished not only for their companionship but also for their adaptability to various lifestyles and living environments.

Conclusion

The history of the French Bulldog is a testament to the breed’s resilience, adaptability, and enduring appeal. From humble beginnings as companions to lace workers in England to becoming beloved pets of royalty and celebrities, French Bulldogs have carved out a special place in the hearts of dog enthusiasts everywhere, ensuring their legacy for generations to come.

Happy Frenchie Friday!

Happy Frenchie Friday all!

We’ve been staying busy with the Frenchie’s as usual.

We started the weekend with Trenton’s first sleepover. Tanner enjoyed being surrounded by pups before breakfast. It’s not every day you get to be a part of a Frenchie pup pile. Ian Gavin are the two fluff pups.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

The Frenchie’s didn’t think it was fair that they couldn’t join the boys play football. Does it look like I have a problem with collecting blue pied?

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

Don’t worry each of them got plenty of personalized attention and relax time. Fluffy (Bolt) enjoyed belly up nap time next to the fire. I’m in love with all Frenchies but the Fluffies have stolen my heart. There’s something about their fluff faces that melt my heart.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

This little lady but left to join her two other brothers this family adopted from us.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

Our pups love it when it’s their turn to be the center of attention. These girls, Yahtzee and Yaya, look like precious moments pups. There is something special about their little personalities. Yoshi is a tiny compact little guy who loves to snuggle.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

These three little fluff bears love playing with the toys and snuggling on the fuzzy blankets. This is Gavin, Harlow, & Ian.

Harlow has decided that she thinks DeMarco just might be her person and follows him around the house. He says we’re not keeping her.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

Bubbles pups will be 4 weeks old Sunday. They look like cute little polar bears.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

Our vet was here and checked out all of the pups ready to join their new families. All looked great. This is Mason getting his eye checked out.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

Little Zayn was such a good boy while doc checked him over.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

This little girl Zoe might just be perfection. To me she has perfection structure, sweet personality, and a little length on her nose for better breathing.

Frenchie Fridays Apr 12th, 2024

Her sister Zenia is just as sweet and beautiful.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Happy Frenchie Friday!

Happy Frenchie Friday all!

Our lives here feel like a whirlwind. There’s been so much happen since I last sent out a Frenchie Friday. I’ll give a few highlights.

Bubbles & Chubs both had their pups. They’re in the big yawn, teddy bear stage. Look at this little lady bug. She’s a platinum meaning she’s a cream color with light eyes. They live in my bedroom right now and I love watching them napping and sleeping belly up. You can see more pics of them in the nursery when they were newborns.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

We had spring break and snuggled lots of pups. Walker is gonna be a little guy and is still available. If you’d like a pup who is really in tune with you and you can carry around easily, he just might be the one.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Winston is a great little guy for someone who is looking for a pup with a bit longer snout and longer legs. I predict he’ll be great for going on walks. We always have to be careful on temps with any of our Frenchies but some are just a little more athletic than others.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

The Frenchies enjoyed walks to the park with us as well.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Our little fluffy Bolt isn’t so little anymore. He likes to hide behind the currents.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

We’ve fallen in love with the little fluff butts. Check our Harlow. I’ve worked hard to not fall in love with her.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Here’s Gavin the most dapper little guy.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

And Ian. He reminds me of Spike on The Land Before Time. A complete little Pooh Bear personality type.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Yoshi, not a fluffy, is a little ham. He talks a little when he plays and is just so entertaining watching him play.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Viking thinks he’s quite dapper as well. He’ll sit around like a little prairie dog.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

In the meantime, Jewels has been snouting around in the dirt. 🙂

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

And of course it’s a normal thing in this house to wear a chicken costume while sitting on the counter holding a fluffy.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

I’ve received my health coaching certification, and am excited to be adding more Frenchie health and wellness topics in the Health & Nutrition vault in the app to support our pup owners.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

We’ve had several new families pick up their pup. Velvet has 3 new Insta-sisters.

Frenchie Friday Apr 5th, 2024

Sugar will be keeping her momma company as she travels around as a travel nurse.

We’ll be ready for our new homes when we are around 10 weeks. Let’s schedule a time to meet live via zoom or FaceTime.
