Sedona | Lilac Fawn French Bulldog Female | Adopted

Hi I’m Sedona a lilac fawn French Bulldog female. My favorite things to do right now are to eat and to snuggle with my siblings. I’m still young, but already seem to be very lovey. I sure hope my furever family likes snuggling. Dad, Nacho (27lbs) is lilac covered in cream creating that beautiful cream color. When they say covered it means you cannot see the lilac (grey color) . Bubbles, momma, (22lbs) is a beautiful lilac fawn merle with light eyes. Together they created me! I have two human brothers as well (6 & 8 years old). Lilac Fawn Female French Bulldog Coloring

Lilac fawn French Bulldogs must have two copies of the blue gene, two copies of the chocolate gene, and one or two copies of the fawn gene in order to be this beautiful yellowish Champagne color. They have light eyes and I particularly how much their eyes just pop against this fur color. They are strikingly beautiful!

How did my pawrents make a Lilac Merle and Tan Frenchie?

My daddy Nacho (26lbs) is a platinum lilac carrying testable chocolate. This means we have a 50% chance to carry testable chocolate as well. He is also 4 panel clear for his genetic health testing which is good for our genes. Maddie our momma is a lilac fawn merle (20lbs). Together they made me a lilac fawn female Frenchie.

Lilac Merle and Tan French Bulldog Male

Lilac and tan French Bulldogs must have two copies of the chocolate gene and blue genes to make lilac. If they are merle they must have one copy of the merle gene. Lilac Frenchies have light eyes. They are often blue as pups and turn a pretty yellowish green as they age. If they are merle, the pattern also affects eyes and their complete eye(s) or speckles of it may remain blue as an adult.

Cream Female French Bulldog Color

Cream French Bulldogs are a standard color. There is variation in the intensity of the color of cream. When pups are born we often call them cream but it is difficult to tell if they are a true cream initially. True creams develop black pigment around the eyes and have a black nose. Sometimes we have cream pied and some may actually be white or a light fawn. All are beautiful!

Blue Merle French Bulldog Female Coloring

We have blue Fawn Merle French Bulldogs in Colorado. Blue fawns merles are a fawn color with bluish haze over their fawn coat and dark mask with merle markings across their body. Some may have white markings down their nose, neck, or toes. Blue fawn merles have brown puppy dog eyes.

Black Merle French Bulldog Female Coloring

Black Merle French Bulldogs must have two copies of the ky (allowing) gene on the K locus to allow for the solid black color and have one copy of the merle gene. Black Frenchies typically have brown puppy dog eyes but the merle pattern may also affect the eye color and you will sometimes see splotches or the whole eye as blue.
