Platinum French Bulldog Coloring

Platinum Frenchies are a rare color. They’re a beautiful cream color but they have light eyes. The reason for this is they carry “lilac” genes. There’s two ways to make a platinum. One is to have two copies of the blue gene, “untestable” chocolate (now testable), and two copies of cream. Another way is to have two copies of the blue gene, two copies of testable chocolate, and two copies of cream. Sometimes you may hear they are lilac or Isabella covered in cream. Cream is dominates over the other coat colors. As they are a rarer color, you will often see this reflected in the pricing.

Hi, I’m Laurel the lilac and tan French Bulldog female. Just look at my sweet face and velvet coat! Already, my sweet personality is showing, I love to snuggle and play! My focus now is just to eat as much as I can to grow big and strong. I have two human brothers as well (8 & 7 years old). Since I have grown up in the house, I am used loud noises like watching TV, boys wrestling, and vacuum cleaners. I’m dreaming of a family who loves to snuggle and play with me. How did my pawrents make a Lilac and Tan Frenchie?

My daddy Nacho (26lbs) is a platinum lilac carrying testable chocolate. This means we have a 50% chance to carry testable chocolate as well. He is also 4 panel clear for his genetic health testing which is good for our genes. Maddie our momma is a lilac fawn merle (20lbs). Together they made me a lilac fawn female Frenchie.

Lilac and Tan French Bulldog Female

Lilac and tan French Bulldogs must have two copies of the chocolate gene and blue genes to make lilac. Lilac Frenchies have light eyes. They are often blue as pups and turn a pretty yellowish green as they age. If they are merle, the pattern also affects eyes and their complete eye(s) or speckles of it may remain blue as an adult.

Blue French Bulldogs are a rare color that look dark grey with brown eyes. Some may have white markings down their nose, neck, or toes. Blue French Bulldogs must have two copies of the blue gene and a copy of the fawn gene.

Lilac Fawn Merle French Bulldog Female

Lilac fawn French Bulldogs must have two copies of the blue gene, two copies of the chocolate gene, and one or two copies of the fawn gene in order to be this beautiful yellowish Champagne color. They have light eyes and I particularly how much their eyes just pop against this fur color. They are strikingly beautiful!

Platinum French Bulldog Coloring

Platinum Frenchies are a rare color. They’re a beautiful cream color but they have light eyes. The reason for this is they carry “lilac” genes. There’s two ways to make a platinum. One is to have two copies of the blue gene, “untestable” chocolate (now testable), and two copies of cream. Another way is to have two copies of the blue gene, two copies of testable chocolate, and two copies of cream. Sometimes you may hear they are lilac or Isabella covered in cream. Cream is dominates over the other coat colors. As they are a rarer color, you will often see this reflected in the pricing.

How did my pawrents make a Lilac Merle Frenchie?

My daddy (25lbs) is a black merle with tan points. My momma is a blue with tan points (24lbs). Together they made me a merle Frenchie.

Chocolate Merle French Bulldog Female Coloring

Chocolate Merle French Bulldogs must have two copies of the chocolate and have one copy of the merle gene. Chocolate Frenchies typically have eye varying from gold to yellowish-green. The merle pattern may also affect the eye color and you will sometimes see splotches or the whole eye as blue.
