Black French Bulldogs are a classic elegant coloring. Let’s talk about the genetics on how you get the black coloring. Many are confused between black and brindle. They do have different genetics. Black means the pup is solid black. Brindle means they have streaks of brown throughout their black coat.

Black & Tan Male

Salem Lilac and Tan French Bulldog Male | Adopted

Hi I’m Salem a lilac and tan French Bulldog male. He is older than these pics show. I am happy to do a FaceTime or google meet for you to meet him and see his current size. He is about 26lbs, taller, leaner build that will makes him more agile and able to go on walks. He will come with a transfer of ownership meaning you have 48 hours to take him to the vet to make sure he is cleared as healthy. He is pet only and no AKC papers will be provided (he is papered but you will not be receiving them). Dad, Nacho (27lbs) is lilac covered in cream creating that beautiful cream color. When they say covered it means you cannot see the lilac (grey color) . Bubbles, momma, (22lbs) is a beautiful lilac fawn merle with light eyes. Together they created me! Lilac & Tan French Bulldog Coloring

Lilac and tan French Bulldogs must have two copies of the chocolate gene and blue genes to make lilac. Lilac Frenchies have light eyes. They are often blue as pups and turn a pretty yellowish green as they age. If they are merle, the pattern also affects eyes and their complete eye(s) or speckles of it may remain blue as an adult.

Lilac French Bulldog Male Coloring

This is a beautiful light grey color with light eyes. They start out as blue eyes but tend to turn a pretty yellowish, green color as they age. Just to clarify, blue Frenchies tend to be a darker grey and have brown eyes.

Fawn French Bulldog Female Coloring

Fawns are a standard color and typically have a black mask. They come in many shades from a light tan color that looks cream, brown color, and reddish brown. Some may have white markings that make them look like a boxer puppy. The standard color of fawn has brown puppy dog eyes. Their are other variations of fawn such as blue fawn (brown eyes) and lilac fawn (light eyes).
