At two weeks old we continue to eat and eat and nap. You can see some of us our eyes are starting to open.

Daddy (26 lbs) is chocolate and tan. Momma (20 lbs) is sable and carries tan pointed gene and chocolate. Together they made our beautiful colors. Momma is 4 panel clear that means we will not be able to have the 4 common genetic disorders prone to Frenchies. This is a good thing. 🙂

One Week Old

At one week old our main goal in life is to eat. When we aren’t eating we are sleeping. We are born with our eyes closed and in the next two weeks you’ll see your eyes start peeking through.

Chocolate and Tan French Bulldog

Chocolate and tan French Bulldogs are a rare color as the pup and one two of tan points gene and two copies of the chocolate gene. There’s a bit more to understanding tan points and even the shade of the tan color. For our purposes here this will suffice.

Blue French Bulldogs must have two copies of the blue gene in order to be this color. It requires one or two copies of the gene to make my tan points which are the light brown color on my legs and eyebrows.
