Happy Frenchie Friday

Hi, happy Frenchie Friday all! It’s been quite a week! We’ve had our hands full with working with pups at different stages needing different types of attention and training. Ms. Sushi and Saya are joining their furever home with their new daddy this evening.

They worked on walking on a leash this week. They first started with Lessie joining them so she could show them the ropes and how it’s done. They did great!

And were also very happy to be home.

I think I’ll take a nap and recover right here.

Who woke me up?

These girls believe this couch belongs to them.

We have a heater hog in the house. Who else has one? This is Cypress.

Cypress and Cabo are the snuggle team. We’re here for our snuggles. They’ve been given their own litter box this week to start working on litter box training. They’ve been hitting it about 50% of the time which I feel is pretty good for just having it a day. Maybe by next week they’ll be at 70-80%. 🙂 I’ve found most pups are naturally drawn to it if given the opportunity. These boys are available.

These little guys have been keeping me on my toes or at least out of my bed sleeping next to them. We have one girl who’s had the sniffles and I’m thankful I basically have a full ICU Frenchie set-up to care for her. We have an incubator, oxygen concentrator, nebulizer, snot sucker tools, and more. It’s amazing when you invest in the right equipment you can implement protocols quickly and keep your pups healthy.

And enjoyed a break at the park. This is their last day here with us as they get to join their new dad this evening. We will miss these girls but are happy for them to have found their family.

Happy Frenchie Friday

Hi all, happy Frenchie Friday! The new babies are doing great! They’re looking more and more like butterballs each and every day.

I’ve rearranged furniture to make it more pup user friendly. I’d say they all love it. Sushi likes teasing the boys, Cypress & Cabo, with the fact that she can jump up on the couch and they can’t.

If we can’t get on the couch, then we’ll just snuggle right here. Cypress is the one on the left and Cabo is on the right.

Saya thinks this is the life. Oh, and I found my furever family this week! I’m just waiting to join my daddy next weekend.

I believe this is my couch now! It’s the same color as me so it’s mine.

Trenton loves it too!

Frenchie Friday October 7th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Hey all, happy Frenchie Friday! We’ve made it! I’m exhausted from a week of very interrupted sleep from our sweet little babies.

Here’s Momma Maddie on her way to the vet.

Our beautiful babies. 4 Females 2 Male. 5 Lilac fawns 1 Lilac Merle (this one is a girl) We are in love! They are Christmas puppies meaning that’s when they’ll be ready. Make sure to check out their page for more pics/videos and watch them grow.

All babies are eating well and have gain at least 4 ounces. Pups are weighed daily to make sure they are growing. Tomorrow they’ll officially be one week old.

Don’t worry Momma Maddie is eating well too. Sometimes my husband looks at me like why don’t you cook food like that for me. 🙂

Jewels loves her food too!

I wrote a blog on the best dry dog foods for French Bulldogs. That’s part of the reason I am writing this so late. I realize not everyone loves being in the kitchen as much as I am for our four-legged friends and humans.
Jewels doesn’t thinks it’s that great to have babies in the house and being expected to spread the attention.

But she and her daughter Fiona have been able to get in a lot of playing time. Love this little blooper. She looks so much more vicious than she really is.

Miso has found her furever home and is enjoying chewing her buffalo horn while she waits for her big pick up day on Sunday.

Trenton has been working with the older pups to teach them to be on a leash and come.

Making sure everyone feels like part of the family. Saya is still waiting for her furever family. She’s a sweetheart and has been reduced to $2900. If you’re looking for a reserved, sweet girl she just might be the one.

I have seen the need for behavioral training for Frenchies over the past few months and I couldn’t ignore it anymore and signed up to get certified as a dog trainer. I believe Covid and so many first time dog owners really made a huge impact on our pups. New things are just scarier than they used to be for our previous generation of pups. Frenchie Friday September 30th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

I can’t believe happy Frenchie Friday is already here. We’ve been busy this past week. Maddie has been cooking her babies and will have her c-section tomorrow late morning. For those who like the breeding information behind it. I have a progesterone machine at home. I draw her blood from her arm (about 1ml), spin it down so I can the plasma separates out, draw up the plasma sample, and run it in the machine. She was a 4.4 yesterday and dropped down to a 2.8 today. Typically you want under 2 to have pups. She will most likely be there tomorrow and it will be 63 days from her ovulation which is typically the perfect amount of time for babies to come. Pics to come!

Maddie has had lots of time this week getting her snoozing in so she’s nice and rested. My guesstimate is 4-6 pups in that belly.

We have carpet in our house in a few places like closets and bedrooms.When you have as many Frenchies as we have that is not the best option. We had some extra boxes of planks laying around and I decided to tear up the carpet in our closet and try my hand at laying vinyl plank flooring. I thought it would be easy since it was a small space but guess what it wasn’t as it has lots of weird angles. But I did it! Those of you who need to make the change, it really is a DIY if you so desire. That corner was my challenge but I learned it’s best just to get a piece of paper and stencil it. I got better with practice. Fortunately, the trim will cover it up any jagged ends. 🙂 Maddie and Jewels were my cheerleaders who sat and snoozed as I worked.

Miss Maisey, now Olive, found her furever family this past week.

She is the new sister.

And fitting in perfectly!

Saya and Miso are looking for their furever families but in the meantime they are having a great time playing with toys, eating, and being a part of our Frenchie clan.

Tytan had a fever at school so he had to come home early. He and Fiona enjoyed the day having a lazy day watching Minecraft.

Trenton thinks the pups are getting too much attention so he’s trying out being a pup himself.

As we have new pups coming tomorrow, I’ll likely be quite tired this week but plan on keeping you all in touch on how they are doing. Frenchie Friday September 23rd, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Friday all! Sorry I missed last week. You know life gets in the way sometimes. We had my grandma from my dad’s side funeral in Fairfax, Oklahoma. I had a different childhood and didn’t grow up with my dad’s side of the family. I spent some time with her but I wish I would have known her more. I hear she loved Halloween and throwing parties. I like to think I got that from her. As I always say about Halloween, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”

We did make the most of the weekend as it was my husband DeMarco’s birthday.I found foot golf out there which is just like regular golf but with soccer ball. So fun! Not a Frenchie pic but I highly recommend when you get out and about from your Frenchies to try it.

The Frenchies were in good hands with our neighbor. I feed them all raw food so it’s a bit of a process to get food ready for everyone. But at $1/lb and being fresh and balanced it’s totally worth it. I’ll be sharing more about food in the future. In fact, I have the best dry dog foods for Frenchies article almost complete and I’ll share it next week with you all. I get it can be a bit much to make your own dog food your little ones.
Aunt Sage came up to ride with us so the Frenchies got some extra loving from her.

Ms. Fiona went on her first road trip with us.

I think she got all of the love she could handle.

Back at home Fiona has taken over the oversized chair we hang out on.

It’s her favorite place to snooze.

We use a puppy purse to help potty train so if my eyeballs aren’t on her that’s where she hangs out. She mostly likes it but here she doesn’t look to impressed.

Nacho and the gang were happy to have us back home.

Movie days are my favorite days! ~Lessie

Frenchie Friday September 9th, 2022.

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday all! I hope you all had a fantastic long Labor Day weekend.

I enjoyed it a little extra this time as my good friend Tina came to visit. She’s not a huge fan of dogs and Romeo just couldn’t understand. He was determined to make her love him.

Mom, we know you’re preoccupied with your friend but you forgot the most important thing! Us! Let us in!

Little Fiona found plenty of love by hanging out with her daddy while we were out and about.

We made our way up the incline. The Frenchies of course didn’t come but they were represented with my Frenchie leggings which are available in the store. I get tons of compliments on them. Who knew? They are one of a kind as no one else had ordered them as of yet. Could be a good Christmas or birthday present for your Frenchie lover.

We grilled and had a game night with the neighbors. Have I said I have the best neighbors ever? Well we do. Fiona received lots of extra love and I know where to find her if she goes missing. Well I’d only have two houses to search anyway.

Now that Fiona is a big 8 week old pupper, she believes she rules the house. She’s queen of the chair in the mornings.

Once Tina left we continue our long weekend watching the new Jurassic Park movie and eating popcorn.
Mommy, I know you didn’t mean to but I think you forgot to make a bowl for your best boy. ~Romeo

Frenchie Friday September 2nd, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I hope you have plans to spend extra time with your very own Frenchie this weekend. We have our good friend Tina in town to help spread the attention around to all of the Frenchies.

We’ve had a full week. It seems when I have a pup that’s where I tend to point my camera. Fiona’s little ears are up now.

She enjoys sitting with the boys “helping” them read.

She suffers from only child syndrome and squeaks each morning when I get up to let me know it’s time to eat and snuggle while I drink my coffee. Here she is when her belly is full and she’s all tuckered out. I’ve been attempting to litter box train her. That being said there’s little paper pellets everywhere as she likes to play with them.

Most evenings we play sorry with the kiddos. The Frenchies joined in as our good luck charms.

Here Fiona is all tuckered out. It’s a ruff life being a pup.

We got good news this week. Maddie had a positive pregnancy test (very, vey faint line but its there) so we will be expecting pups around October 1st. That means they will be pups ready to join their new families right around Christmas time. Nacho is the daddy so we expect babies to be lilac, lilac fawn, lilac Fawn Merle, lilac merle, and possibly platinum. Make sure to follow us on Instagram so you can watch them grow up.

Frenchie Friday August 26th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I know, It’s been a bit since I last sent a Frenchie Friday email. Summers are hard. Between having two very rambunctious human boys, the Frenchies, and having a litter of one to care for, I didn’t realize how much the year anniversary of the three people we lost last summer would take a toll on me again. Boys are back in school and I feel I have recuperated. Don’t worry the Frenchies were well entertained and cared for all summer. 🙂

I do have to take a moment and admire my grandma. She came from ranching stock in rural Nebraska, lost her mom when she was a little girl, and found a way in life to add income to her family of 6 kids via saladmaster sales. Later she found herself in the breeding world and bred various breeds until she settled on Westies. I was often her sidekick when traveling from Nebraska to my uncle’s in Washington state where she would place her pups in homes. I always admired the way my grandma cared for her pups and for the people who purchased them from her. As a third generation breeder now, I hope I honor her. She bred for over 40 years and I can only imagine the impact she had in helping makes families lives more fulfilled with her pups. I keep this pen as a keepsake to remember her resilience in life and business and how she genuinely cared for others in her world. Notice the German spin on spelling as we’re mostly German. We miss you Grandma!

Now to the Frenchies! 🙂
I had one litter born this summer. I had bred three but Jewels was the only one who had babies. She did have two but one little girl didn’t make it. It’s always sad to lose them but we do have our sweet princess Fiona. I want to eventually add a Shrek to the clan so have out own little ogre family. Little FiFi is officially 6 weeks old.

If you can’t tell, she suffers from only child syndrome and is extra spoiled.

Jewels and Fiona enjoy their daily car ride to pick up the boys.

Don’t worry the rest of the Frenchies have been loved too.

We’ve enjoyed taking walks to the park when we can.

Frenchie Friday July 8th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

It’s Frenchie Friday! Hope you all had a happy 4th of July with your Frenchies by your side.

Jewels is due next Friday! I can hardly wait. If I had a favorite, she is the one. 🙂 I really love this pairing as both have the sweetest personalities. If they come in time, I will be sending out pics of babies for next weeks Frenchie Friday.

It’s been rainy weather and each afternoon I nap with these guys all around me.
Why would you want to sleep when you could pet me? ~Lestina

You can usually find Annie and Nacho in the midst of a wrestling match.

Nacho is always the goof of the bunch. Can I have a belly rub mom?

We love spending time on the back deck with the Frenchies in the summer time.
Maddie loves playing with the slinky too!

Almost every evening we play a game as a family.
I don’t understand why they think staring at that board is so much fascinating when they could just pet me instead.~Romeo

I’ll just go bark at the deer.

Frenchie Friday July 1st, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday and Happy 4th of July early! We have exciting news. Jewels and Nacho are expecting little squeaks! Due around July 15th!

I’m pretty positive Bubbles and Lestina are pregnant as well. I should be able to confirm Bubbles next week and Lestina the following week. I’ll be a busy bee but with these babies but I can hardly wait to see them and watch them grow. My favorite part is matching them to their families and helping make the transition a smooth one. We already have a few deposits for babies so make sure to secure your baby.

My prego bodies craving sausage links for breakfast.

Since I can’t have sausage links I’ll be a super hero with the boys.

Frenchie kisses are the best kind.

We all enjoyed a movie night watching Dog.

The night was completed with a dance with Nacho.

June is a month full of celebrations for us. June 29th we celebrated Trenton’s 6th birthday and our 9th anniversary bowling. We just might be all celebrated out.

Here’s my favorite pic of us before kiddos. I was actually pregnant with Tytan. I’d say each year has gotten better than the year before and we’ve created quite a family….Frenchies included of course.

Frenchie Friday June 24th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

It’s Frenchie Friday! Hope you all had a fabulous Frenchie Father’s Day last weekend! I had one of those weekends that fill your soul. I know I’m not a father but I turned 40 on Father’s Day and had my favorite cousins and best friend from high school in town plus a good Missouri friend. Our house was full of people and fun from Thursday through Tuesday.

Jewels was the one that ruled the house as she’s the good girl. They’re all good but she’s extra good and was able to make everyone feel like she fell in love with them and they were the most important person in the room.

It’s exhausting with all of these people around momma. When are they going home? ~Romeo

We had a lot to celebrate. Trenton had his 6th birthday party at Skate City and chose Scooby Doo as the theme. I feel like that was quite appropriate.

We celebrated at Top Golf Sunday for my birthday. Poor Frenchies weren’t invited.

Jewels was sad to see everyone go.

I’m not sorry they’re gone.~Romeo

Finally my life has returned back to normal as the prized pooch.

Maddie has been given reign of the house and Romeo has welcomed her with lots of ear chewing. Jewels just gives her dirty looks.

We should have pups coming. I’m waiting to confirm pregnancies before I start posting all about it. Hopefully pups coming in July! 😉
