Happy Frenchie Friday

Hi everyone, happy Frenchie Friday! Hope you had great week and even more amazing weekend planned. We typically do a lot of the same stuff. Lots of movies with the Frenchies, play board games with the kids, hang out in the hot tub, go for walks, yoga at the gym, etc… What do you do with your family and Frenchies?
This weekend will be the same for us. Nothing exciting like dog sledding. 🙂 But the Frenchies will be happy since we’ll be home most of the time this weekend.

Friday night we hung out with the Frenchies watching movies. Annie and Lessie Poo are Trenton’s targets and they will snuggle whether they like it or not. lol!

This is Bubbles and Annie give him a taste of what he deserves. Hehe!

I’ve giggle more than once at the reel I created from this Frenchie attack. Watch it here and follow us while you’re there. Don’t worry no Frenchie or kiddo was harmed. 🙂 Notice Annie’s little wiggle butt.

Nacho went on a walk to the park with us and enjoyed playing football and meeting Tytan’s classmate. Tytan ran from her while Nacho ran to her. Crazy boys.

Maddie, Nacho, and Irving all travels to the vet this week. Maddie was confirmed to have had a false pregnancy. Her progesterone numbers ran like she was pregnant and she grew a little belly. I was really looking forward to having at least one baby around. But I can wait as the next one will be from Mr. Nacho. He was going to have his semen checked but we didn’t have enough time to do so. I will work on this this upcoming week. Irving is a little sweetheart that I consider a special needs Frenchie. He’s had issues with a prolapse that I think may have finally fixed. He will be going to live with my husbands retired cousin who can dedicate quite a bit of time to him. I love him and it will be hard to let him go but she will love him more.

Maddie enjoyed her puppaccino.

She did not enjoy when Nacho came up too and was offered treats at the drive thru’s. She believed those were all hers. Look at that stink eye.

Overall they did great and snuggled up in their doggie bed.

Last night we watched Togo as we are in the dog sledding spirit. What a great movie. I’ve been lucky enough to have a few Togo’s in my life. When I refer to a Togo I mean one that will be with you no matter what it takes. They have a special connection to their human that you just can’t take out of them. Currently, Romeo and Lessie Poo are my Togo’s. Romeo doesn’t mind if it’s me or DeMarco but Lessie insists on being with me at all times. She jumps over fences and finds every escape route possible to be with me. The moment I saw her being pulled out at the c-section, I knew she was mine. My others love us but the intensity is different. Do you have a Togo? I’d love to hear your stories.

Lessie still thinks she’s a baby and tries to get milk from her momma. There’s none there. Silly girl!

She even tolerates time outs with Trenton.

Frenchie Friday February 18th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Hi all, and happy Frenchie Friday! It’s a nice sunny day here in Colorado. It’s 41 degrees but I swear it feels like it 60 degrees and the Frenchies are enjoying the sunshine.
Last Saturday we were finally able to go dog sledding as it was canceled due to huge dumping of snow in January. It was Tytan’s birthday gift. I know these aren’t Frenchies but I know you’re all dog lovers.

We were able to meet and pet the crew before take off. When ready to be selected for the journey the dogs all hooped and hollered hoping to be picked. I’d highly recommend trying it out.

Now back to the Frenchies. We came back the same day and spent the evening watching a movie with the Frenchies sprawled all around us.

Maddie, pregnant momma, gets the best seat in the house…Daddy’s lap.

How many Frenchies can fit in a bed? According to this picture four but I bet you can pile more vertically.

Sunday we hosted the Superbowl and Romeo was busy soaking in as much attention as possible. This little dog had more than one offer on adopting him. But no way! He’s our boy!

Little Lessie Poo also romped around until she pooed her pants and then no one wanted to snuggle her. Poor Lessie!

Annie went on her first big girl walk around our 2 mile loop. Took her about 2 minutes to figure out the leash concept and we were good to go.

Romeo has decided he should be able to take over the whole oversized chair and soak up all of the heat from the fireplace. “What mom? Did you want to sit here too? There’s plenty of room on the doggie blanket on the floor you.” I think we’ve got our roles reversed.

On top of the excitement of Maddies pups, we are getting ready for our Bed & Breakfast season. We’ve added hot tubs to our two units this week…or I should say they are coming. The lady who sold us the tubs has a Frenchie she rescued. Our last hot tub sales guy also has a Frenchie so the obvious conclusion is all hot tub salesman have Frenchies! 🙂 See pics of her Frenchie in the Frenchies in their homes sections. She’s the senior Frenchie with the distinguished peppered look.

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I hope you are all have fun Valentine’s plans for the weekend! We as always will be spending lots of time with the little Frenchies. Last week I missed Frenchie Friday. I was worn out by the snow days and having two little boys running around so I napped and binged watch a series with the Frenchies. They of course enjoyed it.

I need to address one thing.
For those of you who know me from purchasing a pup in the past I am no longer a part of that company since October 2021. I was never an owner. I’ve always taken ownership in my position and pride myself in that.

I do raise my own French Bulldogs at a smaller scale. Right now we are expecting Maddie’s litter due February 16th. I have been spending lots of time working on building my own website The French Bulldog of Colorado. It’s mostly done but please realize there’s a video I need to create and a couple of articles to write for it to be complete but feel free to check it out. Completing the videos and articles is the goal for next week…along with having Frenchie babies! Pics to come! I am also looking for small breeders in the area who want to raise Frenchies but not necessarily match pups with families. It’s hard work to do both and you really get to enjoy the experience more when focusing on one.

Things I focus on in my program: genetic testing, optimizing nutrition through raw feeding and supplements, my Frenchies are a part of my family, pups are very well socialized with kids and other pups, we start potty training, and overall they get lots of lots of love. We also provide a stud service for our male Platinum male Nacho and other males. Isn’t he a handsome little guy! Looking for more sires to add to the program. Let me know if you’d like information on adding your male.

We have Frenchies Naturally which provides products for your Frenchie, Frenchie education and support, and swag for humans.

Upcoming is a The French Bulldog of Colorado Rescue. This is a passion of mine and a way to give back to my Frenchie community. I’ll keep you updated and informed as we get closer to launching this as we will be looking for Frenchie foster families.

I love Frenchies and have made them my complete life. I believe in the way they change our world and our lives.

Anyway, I know you are all here for the pics and knowing what the Frenchies have been up to this past week.

Lessie poo got a new jumpsuit as she piddles on the floor too much. I don’t love these but they are working ok. I’ve actually decided to place a disposable diaper on underneath and the jumpsuit will hopefully help them stay up.

Annie is also sneaky and makes her way inside the house and enjoys chewing on water buffalo horns in front of the fireplace. Our Frenchies have their own amazing living room space all decked out for them where we all hang out. But of course they all love to sneak in to the off limits area just like real kids.

They’ve been doing a bunch of laying around and living in the lap of luxury.

Remeo makes sure the chair cushions don’t fly away.

And Jewels is enjoying retired life. She gets to sleep with us most of the time except sometimes the snoring between her and DeMarco is just a bit much and one of them has to go and DeMarco says it’s not him. LOL!

Oh, and Romeo has found his new perch.

Maddie has been enjoying lots of blankets and pillows to keep herself comfy. I’m expecting 2-4 pups. We will see. 🙂

And I almost forgot to mention. I received my progesterone machine this week! It’s a big deal in breeding as it can help you be more precise in breeding and have an accurate due date. That’s what is inside the boxes. 🙂

Frenchie Friday January 28th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

It’s been a week and I’m thankful it’s Frenchie Friday! We are renting Sing 2 and watching it this evening surrounded by all of the Frenchies. Our new little guy Nacho is adjust well. He’s learned to use the doggie door to come in but hasn’t quite figured out the going out part. He doesn’t like the flap in his face but I bet by next week he’ll have it down.

He’s adjusting to playing with his new friends and being my newest coworker.

It’s been cold recently. We enjoy warm snuggles each morning by the fireplace. If I could slow down time, I would. Saddens me that one day the human boys will be too big to join me and four-legged ones will one day cross the rainbow bridge. But for now I will soak up and enjoy every moment.

When snuggles have come to an end and we have to move on with the rest of the day, Romeo and Jewels look at me like I’m crazy that they have to go outside and relieve themselves. Or maybe that’s the look of defiance. “We won’t go mom! We’ll freeze our ears off out there.”

Here’s a bunch of snoozing Frencies pics. The boys went to get their Covid shot and skipped school Thursday. We watched Sing to prep us for watching the second one this weekend.

I’ve been working on quite a few projects this week and wanted to accomplish them all. Unfortunately, I still have to wrap them up next week. We will have an Etsy shop, a website for our pups, and another project is underway.

Frenchie Friday January 21st, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Hi all, happy Frenchie Friday! I hope you are all as excited as I am to spend some extra time with your Frenchie(s) this weekend. Here’s why I am a little extra excited. We have a new little guy who has joined our clan. Via Instagram and Facebook I asked for help in naming him. Several cute, sophisticated names were suggested that I believe would fit him so well. Examples: Bentely, Bruce, Leo, Clark. Feel free to steal any of those. I for some reason can only call him Nacho. For sure not a sophisticated name but I love it, the whole family agrees, and he seems to be getting used to it already too.

So please meet Nacho!

He’s quite the handsome fellow. A little about him. He is platinum (two copies of coco, blue, and cream), carries one copy of testable chocolate, and is four-panel clear. This means he can make babies that are Isabella and the new shade of Isabella which this girl is quite excited about. He has the sweetest little temperament. He’s gentle, doesn’t bark, wiggles with his whole body, and easily blends into our crew. Yesterday (Thursday), I flew to Fresno to pick him up and return home with him. It was a long day with an early flight but he was worth it. Let me tell you no matter how many Frenchies I bring home I still feel excited to bring a new one into the family. I believe love is unlimited and there’s plenty to go around for everyone in our household. The boys were excited to meet him and he perked up a little extra at the sight of them. Aunt Sage came up to ride with us so the Frenchies got some extra loving from her.

The Frenchies all were excited too! No personal space when you join us.

Now Romeo may not have been too excited but he is still enjoying his daily morning time drinking coffee and thinking with me. I tell my husband this is where all my brilliance occurs which he just rolls his eyes at. I presume Romeo is thinking, “Well at least if he doesn’t take over morning coffee, I guess he can stay.” My favorite Frenchie mug. You can order your own here. Lestina, otherwise known as Lessie Poo, has learned she can climb anything as she can make it over the 4 foot gate in our garage. She is officially now my shadow and an example of persistence paying off to get what you want in life. If you are in the persistence phase, keep going like Lessie Poo and you’ll figure out a way to get what you want too. 🙂 Here she is playing Sorry with the family.

Frenchie Friday January 14th, 2022

Happy Frenchie Friday

Hi all, happy Frenchie Friday to you…humans and Frenchies! It’s a cold, windy, and snowy day here today and we plan on snuggling up on the couch with the Frenchies to watch moves tonight. I know I missed last week. I had every good intention to send you all a Frenchie Friday email. DeMarco and I had our very own couples vacation. If you are a parent, you know how rare and amazing this is. I planned on getting up early and writing but instead I relaxed and enjoyed Encanitas and Catalina Island to its fullest while the kiddos (2 and 4-legged) were left in the capable hands of Aunt Lori. Below are pictures of us without Frenchies…gasp! If you haven’t made it to Catalina Island, I’d definitely recommend it.

Upon our return everyone was excited to just hang out. This life isn’t for everyone but I sure love it.

Maddie the queen bee, I believe is pregnant. Pregnancy confirmation is coming next week. We should have mid February babies! I can hardly wait as it’s been a bit since I’ve smelled sweet puppy breath.

Do your Frenchies patiently wait for the kids to drop scraps from the table like Romeo here? I swear he’s thinking, “I’m a good boy. I deserve treats.”

I am absolutely in love with Annie’s eyes as they are still staying a crystal blue color. She’s a little chunky monkey and I was thrilled when I saw her when she was born. One of the prettiest little ladies I’ve seen.

Frenchie Friday December 31st, 2021

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I can’t believe it’s New Year’s Eve! How did you and your Frenchie(s) enjoy Christmas last week?

Romeo thought all of the presents should be his. Lol! And was disappointed the day wasn’t all about him.

But each of the Frenchies got their own water buffalo hoof filled with pizzle which is stinky and they greatly delighted in it.

This past week we’ve had a visitor, Cosette. She has made herself at home. That’s not a weird camera angle. She is that much tinier than our big boy Romeo.

She has enjoyed playing with the boys and protecting the place from the presence of the remote control cars.

Cosette is quite the snuggler.

Don’t worry. The rest of the Frenchies are getting plenty of attention. Jewels loves her spot next to Daddy.

And Maisey has been getting in plenty of nap time in her favorite spot on the couch.

We plan on ringing in the New Year with the Frenchies by our side all while celebrating our human boy Tytan’s 7th birthday as he is our New Year’s baby! He does not know yet that he gets to go dog sledding Sunday. Pics of course to come!

Frenchie Friday December 24th, 2021

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I can’t believe Christmas is already here. We hope you are spending lots of time with friend and family and enjoying extra Frenchie snuggles. Our house has been filled with lots of Frenchie naps and cuddles. Let’s clarify this. The napping has been Frenchie naps. Not human naps. If only I had the luxury to nap like the Frenchies.

I usually start the day with snuggles from these two while sipping coffee.

Sometimes Romeo changes his routine up.
First I’ll lay by the couch in front of the fireplace.

Then I’ll go lay over by the other fireplace with dad.

Do your kiddos sleep with their Frenchies? We’d love to see pics of your sleeping angels.

We regularly throw out old toys and give the group new ones as a Frenchie safety measure. They got a new elephant the other day and of course Bubbles was the first to make it hers. She pranced around. Head held high. She also made her way over to the “human” only area and found another delicious sock. Fortunately, I was there to retrieve it. I think I’m going to have to keep my eyes on this one at all times.

Frenchie Friday December 17th, 2021

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I hope you all have plans that include snuggling up with your Frenchie(s) this weekend.It’s been a bit since I’ve written a Frenchie Friday email. I tried to trudge forward for a bit but had to give myself the time and space to heal as much as I can. We lost three important people and one of our doggies in just a few short weeks this past summer and we’ve had many changes company wise as well. All being said, the Frenchies are doing great and I couldn’t imagine going through life without them.

Romeo has been “enjoying” snuggles from the boys and playing doggie. But of course Romeo thinks he is a real boy.

I’d say my coworkers are pretty cute. They also wait with anticipation for my return. Ms. Bubbles the one standing up gave us a little scare last week as she gulped down a whole sock. Make sure to read the article on what to do when something like this happens.

When we aren’t working we are watching Christmas movies. What a rough life Lessie leads. 🙂

One of them always comes with me to pick the boys up from school. This is Ms. Maisey. We find out this week if she is pregnant as we bred her in November. If she is her babies will be due in January. We are also breeding Maddie this week so fingers crossed Frenchie babies will be here in a few months.

Frenchie Friday September 10th, 2021

Happy Frenchie Friday

Hope you are all enjoying a happy Frenchie Friday! Mine are laying on the deck at my feet as I work…which I know that’s there normal spot. I enjoy hearing the cute little snorts around me while I work. Best white noise ever.

We’ve done a lot Frenchie wise this past week. Hope made her way to her new Frenchie mommy in North Carolina. She enjoyed her ride to the Denver airport between the boys.

Met her flight nanny Lucy which took great care of her.

And finally met her new momma.

She is doing great and enjoying being in her mommas arms.

Falcon joined his furever family that day as well. It really is fun to see how the puppies just know they are meeting their new mom and dad.

After a busy day like this, we come home and play. Trenton made a throne for Hoagie which I’m not sure how impressed he was with it.

And then we hold all of the puppies because we will all be friends.

We spend some time watching Halloween movies together. This little guy Mochi is the smallest in the litter but his belly is as wide as he is long. Just the sweetest little guy.

And of course Romeo enjoys his nightly routine of hanging out in the hammock with dad.

Happy Frenchie Friday! It’s been a busy week.

This little girl picked up her little Frenchie sister. You should have seen the instant connection of Dicey with this sweet family. 🙂

These little ones checked out great at the vet and are ready to join their new homes.

We have decided to keep little Lestina. She’s working on her training and the rest of the crew is working on breaking her free from her leash.

All the while Chestnut is enjoying his daily life. He’s working on his potty training as well but is looking for his furever home.

Frenchie Friday August 28th, 2021

Happy Frenchie Friday

Happy Frenchie Friday! I’m going to keep this short and sweet as today is my Grandma’s funeral. I always think I can fit everything in but yesterday time got away. Making sure the Frenchies were all comfy cozy before I left was highest priority. Thankfully they are in good hands with my sister Sage.

The last two weeks with the boys in school the Frenchies and I have enjoyed spending time together. I work out on the deck with my Frenchie helpers all around me.The best co-workers ever!

Our babies are growing. This little guy is cutest. He’s the littlest in the bunch but makes sure he gets his fair share of the food. My favorite time of day is feeding time and watching him waddle/run to the food dish.

Trenton loves helping with the pups and joined in on picture taking this week.
